Have you ever dropped a piggy bank? It sounds great! The Coin Star is characterized by having 14 rivets spaced around the edge in pairs; 7 brass rivets & 7 brass grommets. This is enough rivets where they will choke the sustain of the cymbal in a pleasing way. The cymbal itself is similar to the Stellar series: high tension and ultra saturated. This is the cymbal you play when you’ve heard all the cymbals in the world. It’s the closest model we have to the custom cymbals we’ve made for JD Beck (he’s nuts).
+ this cymbal has 14 full brass rivets instead of the regular rivet/grommet combination
14 rivets would choke an 18" or a 20" cymbal too much, but for a 22" it was the perfect weight ratio
